Lyophilization is a process of freeze-drying that evaporates water contained in a material by sublimation – by directly converting ice to water without passing through the intermediary stage of liquid. Due to our lyophilization processing technology the crystalline molecular structure of the collagen/Atelo-Collagen is preserved. The same applies to the molecular structure of the natural hydroxyapatite in our bone graft material Hypro-Oss®.
All our products are lyophilized and therefore highly hydrophilic and can be stored at room temperature.
